Overcoming Stereotype Threat in Health Care
Stereotype threat is the fear that we will be viewed through the lens of a negative stereotype about our social group. Drawing from the most current research brought to life by real examples, this course uncovers the ways that stereotype threat can negatively impact performance, preventing you from doing your best. It also provides practical evidence-based strategies to prevent stereotype threat from affecting you, your colleagues, and your patients.

Implicit Bias Training for Healthcare Professionals
Build foundational knowledge on core DEI concepts including implicit bias, intergroup dynamics, and equitable patient experiences. Learn evidence-based strategies to interrupt bias in yourself and the people you serve through this 20 minute e-learning course. This version is intended for healthcare professionals, non-clinical staff and healthcare organization employees. It includes real life scenarios and strategies to mitigate bias in the workplace.

Perinatal Health Equity Training and Resources
Diversity Science and project director, Rachel Hardeman, PhD, MPH, developed this e-learning course for perinatal providers focused on implicit bias and reproductive justice in accordance with the training requirements outlined in the California Dignity in Pregnancy and Childbirth Act (Senate Bill 464).
All of the e-learning modules and resources developed for this project will be available free of charge.
Equal Care in COVID-19 Context
Diversity Science is developing a series of e-learning courses to promote healthcare equity in COVID-19 context. These courses will help providers identify and interrupt bias leakage points in COVID-19 care settings. Physician, nurse, and patient-care staff specific versions will be produced to increase effectiveness.
These courses are under development and will be released by January 2021.

Diversity Science works with Amedco, an accreditation partner, to provide continuing education credit for our e-learning courses. Each course qualifies for .50 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for physicians and .50 contact hours for nurses.
